Sangin Monologues

Dear Micks,

Hope you are all well. Some of you are up for R&R next week - hope you have the best time. I have been busy writing and partying as usual. Although not as much of the latter as I would like.

I have written some monologues based on a regiment's experiences in Helmand last year. They're called the Sangin monologues and will be performed at the Cheltenham Everyman Theatre on 11th & 12th of March. I will let you know how they are received. Your experiences, and the job you are doing, are very important and I hope as a writer to represent your struggle, frustrations, friendships, bravery and hardships in a true light. I intend to extend the monologues into a play for radio and the stage and would very much appreciate your input when you all return.

I am hoping to post some more short stories soon and I am promised there are more in the pipeline so do bear with me. I'm sorry there has been a lull. I am going to a writers' lunch on 3rd March and hope to recruit a few more scribes then.

I hope you are all in good spirits and can see the light at the end of the tunnel is well in sight. I remain you stalwart supporter and friend. Love and best wishes to you all,
Charlie xxx
